Hughie Morrison

Dual purpose trainer at Summerdown stables, East Ilsley in Berkshire. Hughie has been training since 1997, including training the winner of the July Cup twice. He always put the welfare of the horse first.

Hughie has around 70 -80 horses in training. He aims to get the best out of every horse and feels the size of his yard enables him to give personal service to each one and connect much better with the owners. He encourages a strong interaction with his owners

They manage their own 1.5 miles of turf gallops and have 2 all weather gallops; a mile wood chip and a 5 furlong sand gallop, which means they're covered for every eventuality.

Summerdown consists of 2 open stables on the doorstep of the gallops, with a network of bridleways, so they don't need to go on the roads.
