Robert Eddery

Robert is a public trainer at Heyward Place Stables in Newmarket. He has a strong grounding in horse racing being born into a long established racing family and spending his formative years apprenticed to Kevin Prendergast in Ireland.

He was in charge of the two-year-olds at Peter Harris' Pendley Farm for 12 years, before setting up on his own in Newmarket. One part of his job Robert particularly enjoys is finding suitable new recruits at the Sales, especially if they can be purchased at a price that represents value for the owners.

Heyward Place is a secure yard with electric gates and CCTV. There are twenty-four spacious stables, outside covered horse walker and four turn-out paddocks. It has immediate access to the Hamilton Hill Gallop and the rest of Newmarket's facilities with over 50 miles of turf gallops, all weather gallops and canters.
