Chepstow Racecourse is part of Arena Racing Company (ARC), which operates 16 racecourses across the UK. It hosts both flat and National Hunt racing and is a versatile venue that's available all year round, for race days and other events such as weddings, conferences and meetings. Their web site includes details of horse racing fixtures, racecourse information, hospitality & entertainment, annual badges, sponsorship and a beginners guide to racing.
The main highlight of their racing calendar is The Welsh Grand National. A three and three-quarter mile race, with 22 fences to jump, which takes place each year in late December.

Course Details
Flat:
Left-handed oval, undulating, 2 mile round with 4½ furlong run-in. Races up to 1 mile on straight course, via a chute. The course tends to suit galloping horses, but the steepness of the course makes it a stern test.
National Hunt:
The chase course adopts the left-handed oval of the flat course, but offers a slightly shorter circuit of 1 mile 7 furlongs, with 11 fences around the circuit. The hurdles course includes 7 obstacles per circuit and can prove tricky for the inexperienced jumper.
